Off-by-one error in the event_wallops function in fe-common/irc/fe-events.c in irssi 0.8.13 allows remote IRC servers to cause a denial of service (crash) via an empty command, which triggers a one-byte buffer under-read and a one-byte buffer underflow. CVE-2010-1156 core/nicklist.c in Irssi before 0.8.15 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and application crash) via vectors related to an attempted fuzzy nick match at the instant that a victim leaves a channel. CVE-2010-1155 Irssi before 0.8.15, when SSL is used, does not verify that the server hostname matches a domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) field or a Subject Alternative Name field of the X.509 certificate, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof IRC servers via an arbitrary certificate. CVE-2018-7050 An issue was discovered in Irssi before 1.0.7 and 1.1.x before 1.1.1. A NULL pointer dereference occurs for an "empty" nick. CVE-2018-7051 An issue was discovered in Irssi before 1.0.7 and 1.1.x before 1.1.1. Certain nick names could result in out-of-bounds access when printing theme strings. CVE-2018-7052 An issue was discovered in Irssi before 1.0.7 and 1.1.x before 1.1.1. When the number of windows exceeds the available space, a crash due to a NULL pointer dereference would occur. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2017-7191. |
