Denial of service vulnerability in OpenSSL via multiple callsID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:20022 | Date: (C)2014-07-01 (M)2024-02-19 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with OpenSSL 0.9.8f through 0.9.8h and is prone to denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle multiple calls, as demonstrated by initial SSL client handshakes to the Apache HTTP Server mod_ssl that specify a compression algorithm. Successful exploitation could allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption).
