Information disclosure vulnerability in Brave Browser - CVE-2021-45884ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:87831 | Date: (C)2023-03-03 (M)2023-06-29 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with Brave Browser 1.17 before 1.33.106 and is prone to an information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle an issue when CNAME-based adblocking and a proxying extension with a SOCKS fallback are enabled. Successful exploitation allows attackers to issue additional DNS requests outside of the proxying extension using the system's DNS settings, resulting in information disclosure.
