Cross-zone scripting vulnerability in the Internet Explorer web control in Skype via the Full Name field of a reviewer of a business item entryID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:9525 | Date: (C)2013-03-09 (M)2021-12-07 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with Skype 3.1 through 3.6.0.244 on Windows and is prone to cross-zone scripting vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle the Local Machine Zone. Successful exploitation could allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML in the Local Machine Zone via the Full Name field of a reviewer of a business item entry, accessible through the SkypeFind dialog and a skype:?skypefind URI for the skype: URI handler.
