The host is installed with PostgreSQL 7.4 before 7.4.30, 8.0 before 8.0.26, 8.1 before 8.1.22, 8.2 before 8.2.18, 8.3 before 8.3.12, 8.4 before 8.4.5, or 9.0 before 9.0.1 and is prone to privilege escalation vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly protect script execution by a different SQL user identity within the same session. Successful exploitation allows remote authenticated users to gain privileges via crafted script code in a SECURITY DEFINER function.
