Erik Sjoumllund discovered a buffer overflow vulnerability in the Ogg Vorbis input plugin of the alsaplayer audio playback application. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability through the opening of a maliciously crafted Vorbis file could lead to the execution of arbitrary code.
