Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: macos |
The host is installed with Mac OS X 10.6.8 or 10.7 before 10.7.5 or 10.8.x before 10.8.2 and is prone to an information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly process the complete cleartext password if this password contains a 0x80 character. Successful exploitation could allow context-dependent attackers to obtain access via an authentication attempt with an initial substring of the intended password.
