The host is installed with Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7 through 10.7.5, Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 through 10.8.4 and is prone to denial of service vulnerability. The flaw is present in the ISC BIND 9.8.x before 9.8.4-P1 and 9.9.x before 9.9.2-P1, when DNS64 is enabled, which fails to handle a crafted query. Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon exit) via a crafted query.
