The host is installed with DirectShow in Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and SP3, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2 and is prone to a memory corruption vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle specially crafted JPEG image files. Successful exploitation could allow attackers to execute arbitrary code.
