The host is installed with Wireshark 0.9.7 through 1.0.2 and is prone to multiple buffer overflows vulnerabilities. The flaws are present in the in the packet_ncp2222.inc, which fails to handle a crafted NCP packet that causes an invalid pointer to be used. Successful exploitation allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash).
