Denial of service vulnerability in OpenSSL via crafted data from a TLS clientID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:20017 | Date: (C)2014-07-01 (M)2023-02-20 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with OpenSSL before 0.9.8s or 1.x before 1.0.0f and is prone to denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in GOST ENGINE in OpenSSL, which does not properly handle invalid parameters for the GOST block cipher. Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon crash).
