The host is installed with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 and is prone to an elevation of privilege vulnerability. The flaw is present in the Windows application compatibility cache, which fails to handle a specially crafted application. An authenticated attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could bypass existing permission checks that are performed during cache modification in the Microsoft Windows Application Compatibility component and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
