The host is installed with Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2, Server 2008 R2 IA64, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Server 2012, Server 2012 R2, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 and is prone to an information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw is present which exists when Windows fails to properly handle uninitialized memory when parsing certain, specially crafted PNG image format files. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability would be able to read data which was not intended to be disclosed. Note that this vulnerability would not allow an attacker to execute code or to elevate their user rights directly, but it could be used to obtain information that could be used to try to further compromise the affected system.
