Denial of service vulnerability in OpenSSL via a session that uses an Elliptic Curve algorithmID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:25120 | Date: (C)2015-06-15 (M)2023-03-31 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with OpenSSL 0.9.8s, 1.0.0 before 1.0.0e, 1.0.1 before 1.0.1n or 1.0.2 before 1.0.2b and is prone to a denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle ECParameters structures in which the curve is over a malformed binary polynomial field. Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to crash the service.
