Certification authority spoofing vulnerability in crypto/x509/x509_vfy.c in OpenSSL and MySQL Server via a valid leaf certificateID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:25321 | Date: (C)2015-07-09 (M)2023-03-31 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with OpenSSL 1.0.1n, 1.0.1o, 1.0.2b, 1.0.2c or MySQL Server through 5.6.25 and is prone to a certification authority spoofing vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which does not properly process X.509 Basic Constraints cA values during identification of alternative certificate chains.
