Security bypass vulnerability in OpenSSL by leveraging a Bleichenbacher RSA padding oracle, aka a "DROWN" attackID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:33155 | Date: (C)2016-03-02 (M)2024-01-29 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with OpenSSL 1.0.1 before 1.0.1s or 1.0.2 before 1.0.2g and is prone to a security bypass vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle the SSLv2 protocol which sends ServerVerify message before establishing that a client possesses certain plaintext RSA data. Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to decrypt TLS ciphertext data.
