Information disclosure vulnerability in PostgreSQL by leveraging stylesheet commands or an xslt_process featureID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:33773 | Date: (C)2016-04-04 (M)2024-02-19 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with PostgreSQL 8.3 before 8.3.20, 8.4 before 8.4.13, 9.0 before 9.0.9 or 9.1 before 9.1.5 and is prone to an information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle (1) stylesheet commands that are permitted by the libxslt security options or (2) an xslt_process feature, related to an XML External Entity (aka XXE) issue. Successful exploitation allows remote authenticated users to modify data, obtain sensitive information or trigger outbound traffic to arbitrary external hosts.
