The host is installed with Microsoft Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 and is prone to a memory corruption vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle a crafted journal file. Successful exploitation allows attackers to execute an arbitrary code in the context of the current user or if a user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker could take control of the affected system.
