The host is installed Wireshark 1.6.x through 1.6.10 or 1.8.x through 1.8.2 and is prone to a denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle a small value for a certain length field in a capture file. Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop and CPU consumption).
