The host is installed with VMware Workstation 15.x before 15.5.2, VMware Player 15.x before 15.5.2 or VMware Horizon Client 5.x before 5.4.0 and is prone to a denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle heap-overflow issue in Cortado Thinprint. Successful exploitation may allow local attackers with non-administrative access to a guest VM with virtual printing enabled to exploit this issue to create a denial-of-service condition of the Thinprint service running on the system where Workstation or Horizon Client is installed.
