The host is installed with Microsoft Excel 2007 SP2 or SP3 or 2010 SP1, Excel Viewer or Office Compatibility Pack SP2 or SP3 and is prone to stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which is caused when Microsoft Excel encounters a modified data structure while parsing a specially crafted Excel file. Successful exploitation allows attackers to execute arbitrary code.
