The host is installed with Pidgin and is prone to denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the purple_base64_decode function, which fails to handle Base64 encoded messages causing a NULL pointer dereference. Successful exploitation could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code and cause a denial of service.
