Denial of service vulnerability in Active Perl (Mac OS X) 5.10.x and 5.11.xID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:981 | Date: (C)2011-05-19 (M)2022-10-10 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: macos |
The host is installed with Active Perl and is prone to denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in parser, which fails to handle malicious arguments passed to etpeername, readdir, closedir, getsockname, rewinddir, tell or telldir functions leading to a null pointer dereference. Successful exploitation could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service condition.
