pixman: pixel-manipulation library for X and cairo pixman could be made to crash or run programs as your login if it processed specially crafted data.

Jakub Wilk discovered that unace, an utility to extract, test and view .ace archives, contained an integer overflow leading to a buffer overflow. If a user or automated system were tricked into processing a specially crafted ace archive, an attacker could cause a denial of service or, possibly, execute arbitrary code.

Hiroya Ito of GMO Pepabo, Inc. reported that checkpw, a password authentication program, has a flaw in processing account names which contain double dashes. A remote attacker can use this flaw to cause a denial of service .

Kostya Kortchinsky of the Google Security Team discovered a flaw in the DER parser used to decode SSL/TLS certificates in suricata. A remote attacker can take advantage of this flaw to cause suricata to crash.

It was discovered that cyrus-sasl2, a library implementing the Simple Authentication and Security Layer, does not properly handle certain invalid password salts. A remote attacker can take advantage of this flaw to cause a denial of service.

Vincent LE GARREC discovered an integer overflow in pixman, a pixel-manipulation library for X and cairo. A remote attacker can exploit this flaw to cause an application using the pixman library to crash, or potentially, to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running the application.

Two vulnerabilities were discovered in Symfony, a PHP framework. CVE-2016-1902 Lander Brandt discovered that the class SecureRandom might generate weak random numbers for cryptographic use under certain settings.
