The host is installed with Apple Mac OS X 10.6 through 10.6.8 or Mac OS X Lion 10.7 through 10.7.5, Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 through 10.8.4 and is prone to denial of service vulnerability. The flaw is present in the QuickTime in Apple Mac OS X before 10.8.5, which fails to handle a crafted idsc atom in a QuickTime movie file. Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) .
