Security bypass vulnerability in s3_clnt.c in OpenSSL and Oracle Java SEID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:23126 | Date: (C)2015-01-16 (M)2023-12-07 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with OpenSSL 1.0.1 before 1.0.1k, 1.0.0 before 1.0.0p, 0.9.8 before 0.9.8zd, Oracle Java SE 5.0u81 and earlier or 6u91 and earlier and is prone to a security bypass vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle unknown vectors. Successful exploitation allows remote SSL servers to conduct RSA-to-EXPORT_RSA downgrade attacks and facilitate brute-force decryption by offering a weak ephemeral RSA key in a noncompliant role.
