Elevation of privilege vulnerability in the Windows Forms in Microsoft .NET Framework - CVE-2015-1673ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:24303 | Date: (C)2015-05-14 (M)2021-09-11 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with .NET Framework 1.1 SP1, 2.0 SP2, 3.5, 3.5.1, 4.0, 4.5, 4.5.1 or 4.5.2 and is prone to an elevation of privilege vulnerability. A flaw is present in the Windows Forms, which improperly handle objects in memory. Successful exploitation allows attackers to take complete control of an affected system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.
