Information disclosure vulnerability in the asm.js implementation in Mozilla Firefox via a crafted JavaScript - MFSA-2015-50ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:24561 | Date: (C)2015-06-04 (M)2024-03-27 |
Class: PATCH | Family: windows |
The host is missing a critical security update according to Mozilla advisory, MFSA-2015-50. The update is required to fix an information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which does not properly determine heap lengths during identification of cases in which bounds checking may be safely skipped. Successful exploitation could allow attackers to trigger out-of-bounds write operations and possibly execute arbitrary code, or trigger out-of-bounds read operations and possibly obtain sensitive information from process memory.
