Denial of service vulnerability in the Time-Stamp Protocol (TSP) in OpenSSL via a crafted time-stamp fileID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:36412 | Date: (C)2016-08-02 (M)2023-12-20 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with OpenSSL 1.0.1 through 1.0.1t or 1.0.2 through 1.0.2h and is prone to a denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which mishandles a crafted time-stamp file through "openssl ts" command. Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and application crash).
