The host is installed with VMware Movie Decoder before 6.5.3 build 185404, VMware Workstation 6.5.x before 6.5.3 build 185404 or VMware Player 2.5.x before 2.5.3 build 185404 and is prone to a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle a video file with crafted dimensions (aka framebuffer parameters). Successful exploitation allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
