The host is installed with VMware Movie Decoder before 6.5.4 Build 246459, movie decoder in VMware Workstation 6.5.x before 6.5.4 build 246459 or VMware Player 2.5.x before 2.5.4 build 246459 and is prone to an arbitrary code execution vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle an AVI file with crafted hextile-encoded video chunks that trigger heap-based buffer overflows, related to "integer truncation errors". Successful exploitation allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
