The host is missing a critical security update accoding to Apple advisory, APPLE-SA-2018-1-8-2. The update is required to fix multiple vulnerabilities. The flaws are present in the application, which fails to properly handle targeted cache side-channel attacks. Successful exploitation could allow attackers to cross the syscall boundary and guest/host boundaries and read privileged memory.
