Increase scheduling priority

ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:56785Date: (C)2019-07-05   (M)2023-07-04
Class: COMPLIANCEFamily: windows

This policy setting determines whether users can increase the base priority class of a process. (It is not a privileged operation to increase relative priority within a priority class.) This user right is not required by administrative tools that are supplied with the operating system but might be required by software development tools. When configuring a user right in the SCM enter a comma delimited list of accounts. Accounts can be either local or located in Active Directory, they can be groups, users, or computers. This policy setting allows users to change the amount of processor time that a process uses. Fix: (1) GPO: Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment!Increase scheduling priority (2) WMI: root\rsop\computer#RSOP_UserPrivilegeRight#AccountList#UserRight='SeIncreaseBasePriorityPrivilege' and precedence=1
