Remote Denial of Service vulnerability in SSL_check_chain in OpenSSL - CVE-2020-1967ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:62818 | Date: (C)2020-04-22 (M)2024-01-09 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with OpenSSL 1.1.1d through 1.1.1f or Oracle MySQL Server through 5.6.48, 5.7.30 or 8.0.20 and is prone to a remote denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application which fails to handle an issue in the SSL_check_chain function. Successful exploitation allows a remote attacker to crash the server or client applications due to a NULL pointer dereference which occurs as a result of incorrect handling of the "signature_algorithms_cert" TLS extension.
