The host is installed with VMware Workstation 15.x before 15.0.2 or VMware Player 15.x before 15.0.2 and is prone to a heap overflow vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle vmxnet3. Successful exploitation may allow attackers with local access to a virtual machine with a vmxnet3 network adapter present may be able to read privileged information contained in physical memory.
