The host is installed with Wireshark 3.4.0 before 3.4.10 or 3.2.0 before 3.2.18and is prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle the Modbus dissector crash issue. Successful exploitation could allow attackers to crash Wireshark by injecting a malformed packet onto the wire or by convincing someone to read a malformed packet trace file.
