Cross-site scripting vulnerability in Jenkins - CVE-2022-34174ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:82453 | Date: (C)2022-08-02 (M)2023-12-03 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with Jenkins LTS through 2.332.3 or Jenkins rolling release through 2.355 and is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle an observable timing discrepancy on the login form issue. Successful exploitation could allow attackers to distinguish between login attempts with an invalid username, and login attempts with a valid username and wrong password, when using the Jenkins user database security realm.
