The host is installed with Apache Cassandra 2.1.x before 2.1.22, 2.2.x before 2.2.18, 3.0.x before 3.0.22 or 3.11.x before 3.11.8 and is prone to an information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle an issue that leads to manipulation of RMI registry. Successful exploitation allows attacker to perform a man-in-the-middle attack and capture user names and passwords used to access the JMX interface and perform unauthorized operations.
