The host is installed with MariaDB 10.3.x before 10.3.36, 10.4.x before 10.4.26, 10.5.x before 10.5.17, 10.6.x before 10.6.9, 10.7.x before 10.7.5, 10.8.x before 10.8.4 or 10.9.x before 10.9.2 and is prone to a buffer overflow vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle a segmentation fault issue in the component sub_select. Successful exploitation allows attackers to escalate privileges on the system.
