XML external entity reference vulnerability in PHP - CVE-2023-3823ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:95089 | Date: (C)2023-11-28 (M)2024-01-02 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with PHP 8.0.x before 8.0.30, 8.1.x before 8.1.22, or 8.2.x before 8.2.8 and is prone to an XML external entity reference vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle an issue in processing the libxml global state. Successful exploitation could allow attackers to lead to the situation where external XML is parsed with external entities loaded, which can lead to disclosure of any local files accessible to PHP.
