Cipher-downgrade vulnerability in coreTLS in Apple OS X by rewriting a ClientHello with DHE - CVE-2015-4000Deprecated |
ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:25288 | Date: (C)2015-07-07 (M)2024-02-19 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: macos |
The host is installed with Apple Mac OS X or Server 10.10.x through 10.10.3 and is prone to a cipher-downgrade vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which does not properly convey a DHE_EXPORT choice. Successful exploitation allows man-in-the-middle attackers to conduct cipher-downgrade attacks by rewriting a ClientHello with DHE replaced by DHE_EXPORT and then rewriting a ServerHello with DHE_EXPORT replaced by DHE, aka the "Logjam" issue.
