The host is installed with PostgreSQL 7.4.x before 7.4.27, 8.0.x before 8.0.23, 8.1.x before 8.1.19, 8.2.x before 8.2.15, 8.3.x before 8.3.9 or 8.4.x before 8.4.2 and is prone to a privilege escalation vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle a table with crafted index functions by functions that modify (1) search_path or (2) a prepared statement. Successful exploitation allows remote authenticated users to gain privileges.
