The host is installed with Microsoft Windows Vista SP2, Server 2008 SP2, Windows 7 SP1 or Server 2008 R2 SP1 and is prone to a denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the Windows Local Security Authority Subsystem Service, which improperly handles specially crafted authentication request. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could cause a denial of service on the target system's LSASS service, which triggers an automatic reboot of the system.
