Cross-site scripting vulnerability in Jenkins - CVE-2018-1999007 (MAC OS X)ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:55991 | Date: (C)2019-07-08 (M)2023-12-02 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: macos |
The host is installed with Jenkins LTS through 2.121.1 or Jenkins rolling release through 2.132 and is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle an issue in org/kohsuke/stapler/Stapler.java. Successful exploitation could allow attackers with the ability to control the existence of some urls in jenkins to define javascript that would be executed in another user's browser when that other user views http 404 error pages while stapler debug mode is enabled.
