Privilege escalation vulnerability in the PL/Tcl implementation in PostgreSQLID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:33768 | Date: (C)2016-04-04 (M)2021-11-15 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with PostgreSQL 7.4 before 7.4.29, 8.0 before 8.0.25, 8.1 before 8.1.21, 8.2 before 8.2.17, 8.3 before 8.3.11 or 8.4 before 8.4.4 and is prone to a privilege escalation vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle pltcl_modules table. Successful exploitation allows remote authenticated users, with database-creation privileges, to execute arbitrary Tcl code by creating this table and inserting a crafted Tcl script.
